Lately I have been documenting my son's everyday life with my phone. I have been teaching myself video shooting and editing processes as do this. Here is a project that I shot and edited in iMovie on my phone. It's amazing how powerful the tools within the phone have become.

In early 2015 Danny Twilley and I took ten Ohio University students to Costa Rica to engage in a field study of Ecotourism. My role on the trip was to document the journey.

Gary Kirksey, Larry Hamel-Lambert, and I spent a day together in a photo studio shooting pictures of every quilt that appears in the book titled "quilt (R)evolution, an art quilt retrospective. This book was published by The Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens Ohio.

Recently Pearl Gluck asked me be a set photographer for her feature film, The Turn Out. It has been great to watch such a professional team work on a long form narrative and compare their process to that of the short form documentary projects that I have been involved with.

Every year in the fall OUMS travels to New York to visit multimedia firms. This past spring the group traveled to Washington DC for the second time.
On this trip we stopped by organization which use multimedia, video and animation. These firms included places such as Design Army, ThreeSpot, The National Geographic Society and iStrategy Labs.

Rocky Brand/Georgia Boot recently asked me to go to Clint Bowyer's shop in North Carolina and make photographs for use in their promotional materials. It was great to be introduced to such an accomplished racer and team owner.
