Link Magazine contacted me to photograph binge drinking on college campus. Once I arrived at the party, I decided to slow my camera shutter speed / sync speed down by one stop every 15 minutes, to give my viewer the feeling of being at the party. After I had been there awhile, I was shooting with the camera set on "bulb" and the flash unattached to the camera. I would simply pop the strobe with my thumb while the shutter was open.
