Dawn to Dusk
Every year The School of Visual Communication builds Dawn to Dusk, a school-wide project that lands in print and online.
This year the theme was "Going Green in Athens County." Students in the School of Visual Communication looked at all of the ways people in Athens County Ohio are connected to the enviroment. A team of students brainstormed project ideas, then photographer went out and shot these ideas from dawn to dusk on Friday Oct 18, 2008. Saturday was a day of editing and on Sunday the designers sat down and designed a 16 page special section that ran in the Athens News.
My role in the project is to guide the multimedia students and manage the online presence of this project. I worked closely with Charlie Zimkus, Peter Hoffman and Carrie Pratt, to build out the web site seen here.
